9 The 992 : 2018-present
Released to the public in 2018, the 992 generation Porsche 911 is arguably the best of all the 911 generations. This latest iteration of the 911 is jam-packed full of luxury, technology, and performance while maintaining the soul of this iconic vehicle. Power has been increased to 380hp in the base Carrera and 444hp in the Carrera S, all delivered through a completely new 8-speed PDK transmission. Enhanced technology in the cockpit has given the driver near limitless customization while adding Porsche Wet mode and Night Vision Assist to increase safety. An increased track width has also improved the already neck-snapping handling capabilities of the previous generation. Aerodynamics were improved with newly designed intake louvres, an integrated 3rd brake light, a significantly wider variable position spoiler, and flush mounted door handles. With the looming ban on internal combustion engines, the engineers at Porsche indisputably put all of their efforts into creating a fitting (potential) swansong to the 911, as we know and love it, with the 992.
