Organizational Changes

After months of study and input from numerous faculty and staff committees, IU Southeast’s leadership is making bold organizational changes to more effectively recruit and retain students in the face of ongoing decreases in enrollment and credit hours.

Some of these changes directly affect Academic Affairs.

As detailed by Chancellor Wallace in his June FY2022 budget message, Marketing will be integrated more closely with Academic Affairs, Admissions and Enrollment Management and Student Affairs.

“This embedded approach will allow us to be more agile and react quickly to our dynamic and competitive regional market,” Chancellor Wallace said.

While Academic Affairs will continue to focus on teaching and learning, we will be able to collaborate with our colleagues in Enrollment Management and Marketing more seamlessly, and to contribute more meaningfully to showcasing our academic offerings.

We welcome this opportunity to join forces with our colleagues in other administrative units who have worked so hard throughout their careers, and especially during the past year, to make IU Southeast a success.
