1 Introduction

Growing up in Oxford, Ohio, many others were only able to identify my hometown when I stated that it was home to Miami University. While Miami University is a large part of the town, it certainly does not dominate every aspect of the town. Throughout the remainder of this book, I will try to shed light on some aspects of Oxford that are generally missed by the typical visitor. While I will touch on large aspects, like Miami University, I plan to open the door to more of the local color that makes Oxford what it truly is.
