5 Hueston Woods

Hueston Woods state park is one of Ohio’s many beautiful, scenic parks. Home of Acton Lake, Hueston Woods Resort & Lodge, Hueston Woods beach, the Hueston Woods nature center, and the iconic covered bridge pictured about, the park attracts visitors from all over the state. The park also offers a tent campground, a section for camper hookups, and a variety of cabins in addition to the lodge and resort. There are a variety of events offered by the park, including a Halloween trick or treat, 4th of July Fireworks, an apple butter festival, and a maple syrup festival.
All of these wonderful attractions only add to the beauty of the park itself. With 12 scenic walking trails, seven picnic areas, an archery range, and a marina, the park has something for every visitor.
