4 Miami University

Miami University of Ohio is located in the small town of Oxford. Established in 1809, Miami University was one of the eight original Public Ivy schools. In addition to this, the establishment of Miami University ultimately led to the founding of the town of Oxford, Ohio. Miami University holds a code of Love and Honor, which students carry with them long after leaving the Miami University campus. Alum of Miami University have gone on to do great things, including founding some of the most successful businesses in Oxford. In addition to students, the university employs more than 1,000 academic staff members on its 4 campuses around the state of Ohio. The university holds a variety of campus events all year long, and students are given the opportunity to see artists and speakers throughout the semester. Miami University brings some of the best and brightest from around the globe to speak on campus for students and community members alike.
