Each famous poem that was presented during the course was interested to read and interpret. It put the learned techniques into practice with well-known examples. Some famous poems were difficult to follow the identical form of, and others were simpler to do.
First Poem Response
You can
Feel the panic in their words as they
talk about.
Them finding
That place to be hiding
You wonder
What was going on in their minds
At the time
They fought
And felt distraught
Captivated
Their readers
I say
Attentively reading
Responsively writing
Second Poem Response
Not a fan of sweets.
However, I see their potential to others.
Pies are good for occasions.
Especially good for holidays – very good.
There are popular pies.
And pies that are typically left – As the author said.
Each pie has a different feeling.
Summery pies and those good for the holiday season.
Each person picks a pie for a purpose —
Some have more meaning than others.
This poet expressed how some pies leave the shelf –
And some end up staying.
For a while in the store.
Until they are no longer good for the table.
Third Poem Response
Constructing a piece of literature and art-
A poem, that can represent feelings
Of the
Author who writes their
Feelings on a page.
A poem
Can represent feelings
Of Sadness, happiness and the like.
Like magic, the words work
Upon the page, like a whisper, a calling-
And dance in the mind of the reader.
Words have a strong place
In this wild world.
They represent our thoughts-
Our feelings and emotions.
They come to life like
The animals in Duncan’s poem, it shows how
Words in poetry. Can bring life
To an empty space in existence.
