Supporters and Funders

Funding comes from multiple sources, including government grants and philanthropic support. From 2004-2026, the USAID-AMPATH partnership will have directed over $300 million to control and manage HIV/AIDS.

Partnerships with supporters including organizations (see graphic) and individuals, such as our AMPATH/IUCGH Development Board, make our programs possible with funding, in-kind support and expertise.

The AMPATH program has benefited from volunteers in multiple different capacities.

In order to handle the large volume of visitors, students, and volunteers, we have built considerable infrastructure to accommodate guests. This includes the creation of the Indiana Institute for Global Health-Kenya (IIGH-Kenya) which is responsible for managing the many financial and logistical issues which arise when maintaining housing facilities for such a large number of visitors. We have also established 24/7 security services and high-speed wireless internet to optimize security and productivity for our visitors.

Established partnerships with funding partners have allowed AMPATH to help develop state of the art employee exchange programs to push the boundaries of care. Examples include our long-standing partnership with the Pfizer Global Health Fellows Program, the Eli Lilly and Company Connecting Hearts Abroad program and Corteva Agriscience (formerly Dow) partnership.
