Manuscript Writing Workshop Series

• The 2024-2025 Manuscript Writing Workshop series concludes this month as learners complete the final module on crafting a scientific manuscript.
• All workshop materials, including session recordings, articles, and other resources are available on Canvas, an online learning platform. Access to course materials via Canvas is available on a rolling basis.
• Enrollment opportunities for the 2025-2026 Workshop series, in which participants have the opportunity to be paired with a mentor and participate in monthly Q&A sessions with course instructors, will be shared this summer.

Updates to Working Group Funding Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

• The Standard Operating Procedure for Accessing Funds to Support AMPATH Research Working Groups describes an internal funding mechanism available to AMPATH Kenya Working Groups to support research initiatives, mentorship, and infrastructure.
• The SOP has been updated to include support for research translation activities, and the latest version is available here.

D43 HIV Implementation Science and Dissemination (HIV-ID) Grant updates

• The second cohort of HIV-ID master’s trainees at Moi University School of Public Health have begun their first year of coursework. Selection of faculty mentor panels are underway to guide the development of each student’s thesis project.
• The grant MPIs met with the project’s multidisciplinary Training Advisory Committee in April to provide updates on trainee progress, share an overview of the curriculum schedule, and discuss updates to the project timeline following the university strikes in Kenya last year.
