Looking for Journal Articles Outside of the Databases

Finding sources from outside the databases

You may come across useful journal sources in ways other than searching databases. For example:

  • Someone (possibly a professor) mentions an article in a lecture or conversation
  • Sources from a bibliography or works cited of another source
  • Found using a web search, but the article is behind a paywall
In this section, we will look at how you can track down these sources using the library website.
