7 Mass Production

In the early to mid-1970’s, companies such as Electro Harmonix and MXR hit their stride in mass producing many types of effects pedals. The debut of the MXR Phase 90, the first phase pedal, ushered in a new era of accessibility to ground breaking effects at an affordable price. Phase Pedals were featured on many recordings. However, the most famous user of the Phase 90 was Eddie Van Halen. The pedal became a part of his signature sound.
