6 Synthesizer

In 1972, Musitronics released the Mu-Tron III, the first synthesizer pedal. While working on a full sized synthesizer in partnership with Guild, the president of the company was killed in a plane crash. This resulted in the company picking up the pieces and moving on with a smaller scale project. Designed by Mike Beigel, this unit went on to revolutionize that section of the industry after Stevie Wonder, Frank Zappa, and Jerry Garcia brought the sound to a broad listening audience. (Mu-Tron)
