14 Brittany Mika – Final Presentation: Article Critique

Brittany Mika (she/her) is originally from Muncie, IN, and completed coursework to earn in a BS in Communication Studies in December 2023. Transitioning her focus to instructional design, Brittany has a passion for understanding how to facilitate effective learning experiences through various media and communication channels. With a keen eye for detail and a dedication to improving educational practices, she looks forward to applying her skills in creating engaging and impactful learning environments.  Professor Rosalie Aldrich notes, “Brittany created a well practiced and delivered final presentation. She organized her presentation with a clear and concise thesis statement and provided a preview statement of what would be discussed during the 10-12 minute presentation. A presentation this long takes a lot of preparation and draft writing. Brittany clearly explained the research design used in the article she was analyzing and described the main findings in a knowledgeable and intelligent manner. This assignment is meant to showcase what each student has learned throughout the semester. Brittany did an outstanding job of critically analyzing the scholarly article – focusing on the methods used. She expertly demonstrated her understanding of the course content.”
