Types and Titles of Employees
Parks and recreation organizations have two different classes of employees; permanent employees and temporary employees. Permanent employees are personnel that work in the organization year-round, such as managers, program organizers, supervisor and key clerical staff. Temporary employees are hired when demand for parks and recreation services spike in the warmer months. Temporary employees often fill roles such as lawn and landscape care, lifeguards, camp counselors, and class instructors.
