1 [I thought]

Spent one night

we watched the stars.

arms length I gazed,

amazed,

grateful.

I talked with you

And I bared my soul.

On the floor

You shared some of yours.

I guess you taught me about loss

in more than one way.

You left at dusk

the day after.

Alone–

overgrown,

You left

me here.

I thought

we could try

To make a life–

To make a home.[1]
