6 Watched / Wretched
In through the crack between the blinds they see
my heathen form unclothed, they laugh and say
out loud “How horrible, this blasphemy.”
condemn my sin and for their children pray.
To bring me yet more pain would bring them glee.
I bathe to cleanse and rid myself of weight,
yet still they watch with ever hungry eyes.
“You scheme and taint and groom and stalk and prey,”
What fire drives that hunger in their eyes?
You’d think it rage, with zealous reasoning,
But it, itself, is plagued by the same sin
