Faculty Educators Recognized By Students

W. Graham Carlos, MD, of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep and Occupational Medicine, received the Golden Apple award from the Class of 2022.

Zeb Saeed, MD, of the Division of Endocrinology, received the Outstanding Teaching Award in Internal Medicine from the Class of 2022.

Successful PRIME Grants

Four faculty projects were awarded PRIME (Primary Care Reaffirmation for Indiana Medical Education Program) grants. •

New Alpha Omega Alpha Members

A significant number of Department of Medicine faculty and residents were inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor society this year.

Faculty inductees were Jennifer Hur, MD, who is the director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program in Indianapolis; Areeba Kara, MD, who is Associate Division Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics; and LeeAnn Cox, MD, who is Director of the Internal Medicine Clerkship.

Additionally, Internal Medicine residents Viviannne Alsop, MD; Matthew Coghlan, MD; Matthew Hodge, DO; Ahmed Khalid, MBBS; and Lauren Pavlik, MD, were inducted. Among residents from the Internal Medicine/Pediatrics program, Connor Parker, MD; Juhi Ramchandani, MD; Ishani Shah, MD; and Stephen Watty, MD, were also inducted.

Dr. Dilly Named Assistant Dean of Graduate Medical Education

Christen Dilly, MD, an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, was promoted to the role of Assistant Dean of GME.
