Overview
You can find a job aid on how to import a Pearson course into a live shell by clicking here.
Key notes when building with Pearson content:
- Ensure you get a course ID from the faculty you’re working with and share it with your principal and/or manager. We need to keep these IDs so that in the future, we can continue to share the course without needing the original instructor to provide it.
- No Deep Linking to publisher materials throughout the Canvas Course
- “Deep linking” means you are providing students with a link directly to the Pearson materials.
- Do not create assignments in Canvas at all for assignments that will be made in Pearson – if you do, when you link Pearson to the course, it will duplicate everything
- Create a page that points students where to go in Pearson or in the Assignments Tab. Example of a non-deeplinked Publisher assignment
