Being a ghostwriter comes with many perks. We get to write about a wide variety of subjects in many genres and styles. There is so much to choose from that it’s hard to pick a favorite. One of the top perks that is abundant and constant is our ability to work with some of the most interesting people in the world. We get to tell people’s stories while learnin111g about many walks of life. But I must say that receiving thanks and ppreciation from a client gives me so much fulfillment. As ghostwriters largely receive no credit for their writing, it’s much appreciated to receive accolades from the clients themselves.

Recently I received a call from a client who initially wanted me to write his speeches that he would perform in front of prospective clients seeking industrial training courses. This was one of those instances where I was able to sink my teeth into learning about another industry. Whenever I start a new project, I dive deeply into the subject matter, to give the client the best outcome.

This client had been working on this business for several years and it was my pleasure to help him take it to the next level. He liked my work so much that he decided to have me write his memoir, to increase people’s awareness of him. I was excited to write it, as I had already learned so much about him and his business by writing his speeches.

I was able to provide a memoir that was published online; it sold very well, giving him an even larger customer base. He was then off and running, giving seminars all over the country. It was advantageous for him to think outside the box and seek assistance from someone with the proper writing expertise.

Like many others who don’t come from a writing background, communicating his ideas through a memoir was an arduous task. After a number of futile attempts at writing his own memoir, it was apparent that he needed help. His next hurdle was finding the right person to tell his story. Luckily he had the ingenuity and tenacity to turn over every stone until he found what he was looking for. He needed someone like me — a ghostwriter.

No. we’re not scary, we’re just invisible.

A memoir is a snippet of time in someone’s life that is interesting and often valuable, but too few get the opportunity to tell their story. The only thing stopping them is that they aren’t writers. This is where ghostwriters come in. We work behind the scenes and you get all the credit. Most memoirs, autobiographies and speeches were written by ghostwriters.

A ghostwriter takes your ideas and formulates them into whatever type of writing you are looking for. Not only are we highly skilled at what we do, but many of us have connections to help get your work into the right hands. We will keep you involved every step of the way or just deliver the final product. It’s up to you.

Not only that, we are also in the business of writing pieces that make you shine and we keep the limelight on you with material that is evergreen. It’s the best of both worlds. In fact, many speeches and memoirs that you’ve probably heard or read are most likely written by a ghostwriter, but you’d never know. And nobody will know that a ghostwriter did your memoir. That writer is bound to silence by a non-disclosure agreement.

So now that you’re interested in a ghostwriter, finding one comes next. Where do you find a reputable ghostwriter who specializes in your genre? You can conduct a Google search and interview them one by one, asking for credentials and then calling their references. Or you can work with a ghostwriting services company that has a roster of ghostwriters and who vets all their writers ahead of time. Michael McKown runs Ghostwriters Central, Inc., and knows each of his writers in depth. He will help you select the best one for your project.
