FOCUS AREAS FOR 2023

While our stakeholder priorities are critically important and drive much of what we do, our divisional priorities enable us to deliver our services efficiently and effectively. Following are our focus areas for 2023, which we expand on in the coming pages.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND DIVERSITY

Intentionally recruit and hire a more diverse workforce and provide opportunities for all employees to expand their skills by providing leadership and job growth opportunities.

STANDARDIZATION AND AUTOMATION

Standardize and automate widely used processes, technologies, and infrastructure such that it reduces the cost and risk of manual processes and the cognitive load on our staff, allowing them to focus on more value-added tasks.

SYSTEM METRICS TO SUPPORT DECISION-MAKING

Develop and implement a divisionwide standard for collecting system and feature metrics that includes reporting in support of decision-making.

RETIRE SERVICES / ELIMINATE TECHNICAL DEBT

Retire duplicative or underutilized services and eliminate technical debt that prohibits ES from making progress on strategic initiatives.

PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE

Research and become familiar with alternative solutions in the marketplace for the services we provide so that we are prepared to provide decision-makers with insights for the future.
