1 Chapter 1-Theoretical Relatedness

aesp2437

Theoretical relatedness is the kinship between 2 individuals (Zerubavel 2017). Relatedness, as defined by evolutionary scientists is connected through genetic currencies and this is due to the transference of genetics through genetic replication which is a key component of evolution (Zerubavel 2017). Zerubavel points out that Darwin was the first to realize that theorizing relatedness is not only with human ties. Darwin said that, “the entire natural system is founded on descent.” Genealogical connectedness is, “the linchpin of evolution.” There is a connection between humans and neanderthals and my 23andme results display this fact. Relatedness is a social construct and is not biological (Zerubavel 2017).

The timeline above demonstrates the lineage through DNA, as to where we came from, and when. “How many generations ago was your most recent ancestor for each population?”
