10 Products and Materials
Many documents are created and stored for various projects each week. To streamline locations and access to materials, the following are general guidelines for where items are stored across primary locations with brief note of the general contents within each location:
Server – storage of final documents or folders as well as ongoing documents or folders that are templates or part of an ongoing project (e.g., demo classrooms, IIACC & LCCs, financials, etc.)

- HANDS (aka M Drive) – all staff members have access to the HANDS folder, core files within the HANDS folder on the server consist of the following:
- Clinic & Programming
- Compliance & Research
- Contacts & PR
- Financial
- General Reference
- HANDSmade
- Non-Research Programming Data
- Projects
- Resources & Literature
- Shared
- HANDS Media – all staff members have access to the HANDS Media folder, core files within the HANDS Media folder on the server consist of the following:
- Audio – assorted audio files for files that were used in transcription
- Bx MITI April 2013 – online media files for a MITI workshop held in 2013
- HowToDVDFiles – how to DVD files across academia, how-to templates, kids corder, and strategy in practice content series
- Iryna OLD Files – archived files copied as backup from Iryna’s external hard drive provided to HANDS in 2015
- Pictures – all picture files should be saved within this folder under the applicable category with the pictures recorded accordingly within the Picture Log found in the parent folder
- Summer Training Online 2013 – online media files for the ST session held in 2013
- Video – all video files should be saved within this folder under the applicable category (i.e., pieces, projects, raw, etc.) with the videos recorded accordingly within the Video Log found in the parent folder
- HANDS Finance– only those staff members with a need to access financial documents have access to the HANDS Finance folder, core files within the HANDS Finance folder on the server consist of the following:

Box – storage of active, working documents being shared with collaborative partners, staff working offsite, and/or students

Server Storage
- All materials created for HANDS or as part of HANDS in Autism® projects should be saved at the appropriate location on the server for shared transparency and use.
- Older versions of items should be archived within the parent folder.
- New items should be saved following the same folder and organizational framework as with others done prior, as appropriate.
- If you come across a document or procedure that does not appear to follow our current protocols, make note of revisions on the document, in an email and submit these to Naomi and Tiffany for review and potential revision.
- Changes should not just be made in that we will have multiple versions
- Some changes will require IRB approval
- Some aspects are standard and can be enhanced with added information but not replaced
- Only documents approved by Naomi and Tiffany should be put into the final and standard format.
