Active Learning at IU

While learning can occur in many ways and in varied places, IU has made a commitment to creating spaces that intentionally facilitate active learning. With input from faculty, students, technologists, and designers, resources have been applied to ensure that classrooms are conducive to teaching and learning.

There is no perfect classroom design that satisfies the demands of every course. Thus, the notion of a mosaic of classrooms reflecting the unique needs across our large and diverse university provides a framework for creating innovative and effective learning spaces.
