In this lab, we will “georeference” scanned paper maps to GIS layers.

Skills

The purpose of this lab is to help you practice the following skills that are essential to your success in this course, as well as in your professional life beyond school:

• Connect to the ArcGIS Online Portal and search for data.
• Set Control Points to match the reference geospatial layer, and the target image map needs a spatial reference.
• Generate a spatially referenced image map with a 3rd-order polynomial transformation.
