Taking Care of the Basics

Academic Calendar and Registering for Courses

Academic Calendar

Use the official calendar on this page to find out the semester’s most important dates—including the first day of class, the last day you can drop a class with an automatic W, refund dates, and more.

Enrolling in Classes

Work with your faculty advisor to create a list of the courses that you should take for your first semester. Once you have that settled, then you are ready to get started on scheduling your coursework.

View Your Schedule

Once you have finished enrolling in all of your courses, you can view your schedule by returning to the “Student Center” and clicking “View my schedule.”

What about registration holds?

If you are unable to complete registration for your courses, you may have run into a registration hold. Depending upon your campus, you may need to verify your citizenship status, complete training about sexual harassment, or any other such requirement (immunization records, outstanding fees/debt, verification of undergraduate diploma and/or transcripts, etc.). Please reach out to your academic advisor or success coach if you have any questions. EXAMPLE: IUI is required by Indiana law to verify eligibility for in-state tuition and aid via a signed affidavit testifying to current citizenship status.
