13 Onsite Coordinators
Onsite Coordinators play a vital role in the success of each program site. They are the individuals who live in the host city year-round. Many of the Coordinators have worked with IUHPFL for several years and in some cases decades. All of them are dedicated and caring people who do a tremendous amount of work on behalf of our students, instructors, and host families.
The primary responsibilities of the Onsite Coordinators include:
- Recruiting, vetting, training, and supervising host families
- Planning the program calendar with the Director
- Securing classroom facilities and accommodations for students and instructors
- Orienting students and instructors with onsite emergency resources and procedures
- Arranging accommodations and transportation for students and instructors within the host city and while on excursions
- Organizing special tours and events with the team, such as meetings with city officials
- Being present to answer questions and lend support to the team during the program
- Helping to resolve concerns and crises
- Facilitating any necessary host family changes.
