Connect Wirelessly on Campus

Connect to eduroam

How to connect

Note:

Eduroam is the default wireless network for students, faculty, staff, and affiliates on all IU campuses. To connect, select eduroam from the list of available wireless networks, and enter your full IU email address (for example, johndoe@iu.edu) and passphrase.

Notes:

  • If you connect to eduroam at an institution other than an IU campus, you’ll need to use the IU VPN to access some resources (such as remote desktop, library resources, and department drives).
  • For troubleshooting tips, see Troubleshoot your eduroam connection.

If you have difficulty, see the appropriate manual instructions for your operating system or device:

Find eduroam providers

You can find lists of current eduroam service providers at the regional websites:

Note:

When you log into eduroam from another institution, your passphrase remains secure, and is never sent over the network.
