3. Customer service

While working your scheduled shifts, your priority is customer service to Library users. This requires you to remain alert, approachable, and welcoming whether you are at the circulation desk or on the floor. To do so, conversations with users and co-workers should be professional, courteous, and relevant to Library work. Personal conversations should be brief and limited to maintain availability for Library users.
