Authenticate

Users can authenticate at the RICOH printers by swiping their CrimsonCard or logging in with their IU username and password.

On the left is a touch screen. On the right, about waist high, is a card reader. Quickly slide your CrimsonCard face-up through the card reader. The printer in the South Commons has a second touchscreen on the table beside the printer for greater accessibility.

Print

To print documents:

  1. Swipe your CrimsonCard.
  2. The touch screen will display a list of print jobs you sent to the printer. Next to each print job is a check box. At the bottom are three boxes labeled Print (grayed out), Print All, and Delete (grayed out). Do one of the following:
    • To print all jobs, touch Print All.
    • To select jobs to print or delete, touch the boxes to the left of the jobs; the number of pages associated with each job will display. Touch Print or Delete.

Print Allotment

A student is allocated a set amount of funds depending on how many credit hours they are enrolled in. These funds should appear in before the beginning of a semester. Please refer students to UITS if these questions arise.

Students can learn more about their CrimsonCards on the CrimsonCard webpage. Additionally, students can manage their CrimsonCard balance through the aforementioned link as well as through One.IU by searching for the “Make a deposit to your CrimsonCard” task.

Printing Pricing

Black and white copies are typically $0.04 per page ($0.08 for double sided) and color copies are typically $0.25 per page. Please consult UITS’s page regarding printing pricing and allotments.
