Recording Study Table Sign-ins

In this collaboration with Athletics, student athletes sign in and out from study tables at the Circulation and/or Research Help Desk with the following procedure:

1.     Athletes will come to the desk and tell you their last name and team.

• Be sure to ask the athlete for and/or verify their name and sport each and every time, even if you’re confident that you know that information.

2.     Using the LibInsight: Study Tables form*, you will:

• Select their name from the drop-down menu^ for their sport and team,
• whether they are signing in or out,
• and mark the method of which they signed in/out (in person, over the phone, or email).

3.     When you click Submit & Clear, you will see a green bar that says “Success”. When you see this, verbally confirm to the athlete that their time has been submitted.

• If you do not see the Success notification pop up:
  • Reload the webpage and submit the information again.
  • If LibInsight is not working, send an email or Canvas message to Meg Galasso that says the name of the athlete and whether they are signing in or out.
  • If the computer or internet aren’t working, write down the sport, name, time, and method, and leave this note in Meg’s mailbox in KA140.

Team photo rosters are available by clicking on the blue question mark next to each team name on the study tables form.

If students or coaches have questions about study tables, please refer them to Meg Galasso via the Library Contact Request Form.

*Use the same log-in credentials that you use for Library Service Desk Data, Headcounts, and Gate count.

^ If a student’s name does not appear on the list, write down their full name, sport, and time in/out. Send this information to Meg via IU email as soon as possible. If their name is not on the list when/if they come to clock out, be sure to write their time down and send that along to Meg as well.
