17 Moving

It is different for everyone.
Kids cry because they will miss their old friends.
Thinking their parents have done it for fun.
Sometimes it’s for jobs to try and meet ends
Packing up boxes. Often bittersweet.
Downsizing and getting rid of excess,
No seat belt in the U-haul truck’s front seat.
Loading the back was like playing Tetris.
Leaving the house for the very last time.
The sale of the home makes it seem worth it.
Reflecting, no words to say like a mime.
Kids lost their friends but didn’t deserve it.
Driving away to a house down the road.
Preparing to start a new life again.
Putting your things in your humble abode.
Your son sees a boy outside. “Hi, I’m Ben!
