28 The Beauty of Life
Two hearts meet on the road.
The vessels, the shape of a boy and a girl.
The hearts connect and start the cycle.
School flies by, the love becomes deeper.
The boy and girl grow a bit bigger;
As does their love like a wildflower.
Classes end and fade into the background.
Boy and girl are now young man and woman.
Love flows effortlessly through them.
In a new home, changes appear rapidly.
Man and woman are happy and gleaming.
The love they share is enough to fill another heart.
In the hospital, time moves slowly unlike love.
The woman on the bed, the man by her side.
In those moments, they become three.
Back at home, time flies with no brakes.
Baby cries, laughs, crawls and then walks.
Growth in size and love within the house, consistent.
High school comes and then college and so does love again.
Baby to boy and now to young man.
He meets a girl who becomes his best friend.
In to a new home, they now share with love;
Just as his parents before him it grew deeper.
They planted their own roots on the family tree.
Time is man-made and doesn’t have a price.
The Family weeps as more time cannot be bought for grandpa.
Love was powerful, roots were deep, but the hourglass, out of sand.
Time again goes by so quickly in the world.
The family grows in the loss, it’s twins.
The cycle of life begins again.
