12 Tutorial: How-to Embed Documents and Media in Google Sites
Learn how to embed documents, presentations, and other media into your ePortfolio. This is especially important for the Internship Showcase, where you will want to have your project show up right on your ePortfolio Internship page, not a link to open separately.
In Google Sites
You can:
Add Google files, videos, website content, & more (all tutorials)
- Add images such as .jpg, .png, or .gif from your computer
- Embed content using html code (best for embedding a Prezi)
If you are adding from Microsoft files or are using a Wix website, see below.
In Wix
You can:
- Upload and embed images, PDFs, and videos directly
- Embed Canva designs, Google Slides, and other media using iframe embed codes
- Add downloadable files (Word, PDFs) using the “File Upload” option
To embed media:
- Click “Add” (+) on the left panel
- Select “Embed Code” under the “Embed” section
- Choose “Embed a Widget” and paste your iframe or HTML code (e.g., Google Slides or Canva link )
- Resize and place your content where you want on the page
To add images or files:
- Click “Add” (+) > Image or File Upload
- Upload your media (drag and drop is also supported)
- Resize or hyperlink the media as needed
