Hiring

Interns are hired and funded by the Life-Health Sciences Internship Program. We complete basic IU hiring paperwork and interns are hired as part-time hourly student employees clocking in using Kuali Time. You do not need to hire or pay the interns directly.

We will reach out for additional information from you to set up timesheet approvers on your team and gather any other information needed for items like liability insurance or signatures on work-study paperwork.

Supervisor Orientation

We hold supervisor orientation in the summer to help you prepare for the interns to start in fall semester. Watch for more information via email on how to sign up. We also have a handbook for interns and supervisors with all program policies and information.

The internship

Interns attend orientation and begin working at the start of fall semester. The internship lasts until the end of spring semester. We participate in the Internship Showcase in April to highlight and celebrate the work of interns from across campus.
