Connection (Mini-Renga composed with Jaklyn Maroney)
Stuck in what you say
Contracting lungs full of sound
Wish it were, just air
That comes across as too hot.
But the message is poignant –
“One of dear import,”
As Friar Lawrence once said.
The words leave your lips:
Who are you to judge me now?
This pilgrimage is for us
A spirit journey
Where we search for connection.
With Nature we are
Objective or subjective –
It lies within and without.
We connect through love,
A bridge we built together.
You see it in me.
We are forever being
Caught up in a whirlwind tide.
This love is in me,
This love is all around us.
Tell me you are here,
Tell me that you can hear me,
Tell me that you can feel me.
