Clinical Care
Internal Medicine Clinical Specialties
Faculty physician specialists within the Department of Medicine provide patient-centered, quality-driven care in all areas of internal medicine across the state of Indiana. In addition to providing care for patients, clinical care is a key component to the education and training of medical students, residents and fellows. Trainees work alongside faculty to enhance clinical care and to progress the field of internal medicine. The department includes ten specialty divisions that provide clinical care, focused research and training programs for the next generation of physicians in Indianapolis and throughout Indiana at regional campuses.
Medicine researchers are at the forefront of science. They are also developing new technologies to help with patient care.
The staff and faculty of each division provide gateways for medical excellence through specialty centers they operate for clinical and research purposes.
