Introduction

Chair, Vice Chairs lead Strategic Planning Process

This year, the Department of Medicine has embarked on a strategic planning process to outline the goals and vision that will guide the department into 2030.

Department Chair David Aronoff convened a committee of Strategic Planning Champions which included the department’s six vice chairs, several associate vice chairs and other key stakeholders. These champions served as representatives for the department’s mission areas: education, research, clinical care, engagement, wellness and career development.

Together, they gathered feedback from across the department through surveys and town halls; and they gathered for a day-long retreat to further share ideas.

The planning process is ongoing. Aronoff will release the team’s findings and share the new strategic plan before the end of the year.
