At IU Networks, where we manage and support some of the most powerful networks in the world, in the United States, and in the state, we take network architecture very seriously.

Lighting the way for the field

Our decades of expertise in the design, research, and deployment of networks is what makes us a world leader in the field. It all started in 1998, at the dawn of the internet age, when IU joined forces with Internet2 to build a research and education networking community that would protect and support collaboration and discovery.

Now, nearly 25 years later, the R&E networking community is thriving but increasingly under threat from cybercriminals. Today, we are still lighting the way for network architecture, which increasingly means finding innovative ways to safeguard the data that flows over networks and the hardware that make them possible.
