55 Medicaid Waiver Information
The Medicaid Waiver Programs are very useful ways to get the most services possible without having to spend money out of pocket for everything. One qualification is that the individual’s personal assets cannot be more than $1500.00 and that their income is no more than 300% of the amount paid by SSI. You must also meet the Level of Care eligibility with the onset of the impairment being prior to the age of 22, it is expected to continue without a foreseeable end, and that it results in substantial functional limitations in at least 3 areas of major life activities:
- Self-care
- Understanding and using language
- Learning
- Mobility
- Self-direction
- Capacity of independent living
