Kaete Archer, MD, was raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After completing medical school at University of Arkansas College of Medicine, she went on to complete her residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University. Archer chose to specialize in Rhinology because of the wonderful combination of care and patient outcomes. Archer felt that IUSM would be a great fit because of the exposure she would get to a high volume of surgery and valued our staff’s dedication to teaching.

Evan Cumpston, MD, is from Denver, Colorado. He earned his medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his residency at UT Health San Antonio. Cumpston chose to specialize in the field of neurotology because he truly enjoys caring for patients with hearing loss and the complex three-dimensional anatomy of the lateral skull. Cumpston felt that IU School of Medicine would be the best fit for him because of the excellent operative experience and the great mentorship from faculty members.

Harvard Medical School | John Hopkins University

Jordan Antonio Garcia, MD, earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed residency at Johns Hopkins University. There, he was a clinical instructor and was awarded multiple research grants from AAFPRS and AAO-HNSF. He was also selected to assist with reviewing grant applications in his final year of residency. Garcia specialized in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery because of its complexity and creativity.

Vanderbilt University | John Hopkins University

Deborah Xingchun Xie, MD, was raised in Naperville, IL. After completing medical school at Vanderbilt University, Xie completed residency at Johns Hopkins University. There, she served as the administrative chief resident and was awarded the resident teaching award in 2022. Xie chose to specialize in the care of head and neck cancer patients. She values the humbling privilege of caring for patients as they go through a life-altering disease.
