Introduction

There are many types of yogurt on the market currently.  Some yogurt are better than others.  Below is a taste comparison of some different plant-based yogurts which includes flavor balancing.

 

Fruit and Yogurt Recipes

Peanut Butter Parfait

Prep Time: 10 minutes if farro already cooked, 40 minutes if cooking farro

Servings: 1

 

Ingredients

½ of a large banana, sliced

2/3 c. cooked farro

2/3 c. plain Siggi yogurt

2 Tbsp. peanut butter

1 tsp. honey

Garnish:

3 apple slices

1 tsp crushed peanuts

1 dash of cinnamon

 

Directions

Cook farro according to package directions if not already cooked.  Mix peanut butter, yogurt, and honey until combined in a small bowl.  Check taste of mixture and adjust if needed.  Layer grain, yogurt mixture, and banana in medium glass.  Top with crushed peanuts, apple slices, and cinnamon.

Carbohydrates – 54 grams, Protein – 22 grams, Fat – 10 grams

Banana Split Yogurt Parfait

Prep Time:  10 minutes

Servings: 1

 

Ingredients

½ large banana

¼ c. fresh mango, diced

½ c. fresh raspberries

½ c. flavored LF yogurt of choice

4 almonds

2 tsp granola

 

Directions

Slice banana and mango and wash raspberries.  Place the banana split in half length wise and put yogurt in the middle.  Place other fruit on the top.  Garnish with nuts and granola.
