- Go to the website https://citywalks.live and explore one Russian city from the menu on the right– Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, or Novosibirsk. Spend 5-7 minutes watching the recording of the city walk in a specific city assigned to you (or your group). Make sure to turn on the sound by swiping the “city sounds” button right. 2. Fill out the graphic organizer, while watching the city walk, adding everything that you see into different categories. 3. Ask and respond to the questions, following the model: “–Что это? — Это — магазин. — Какой это объект? — Это коммерческий объект. –Что там можно делать? — Там можно делать покупки. — А что это? — Это памятник. — Кому этот памятник? — Это памятник Ленину. — Какой это объект? — Это культурный объект. –Что это? — Это церковь. — Какой это объект? — Это религиозный объект. — Что там можно делать? — Там можно молиться и туда можно ходить на службу.” 4. Report back about your city and the sightseeings.

- Go to the website https://citywalks.live and explore one Russian city from the menu on the right– Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, or Novosibirsk. Spend 5-7 minutes watching the recording of the city walk in a specific city assigned to you (or your group). Your group will be given a role (wheelchair users, people with strollers, people with vision impairment or low vision, or people with hearing loss), and you will have to assess how accommodating and accessible this city is specifically for you. Make sure to turn on the sound by swiping the “city sounds” button right. 2. Fill out the graphic organizer while exploring the space and count how many city objects are accessible/inaccessible for you. 3. Ask each other questions and respond to them: “–Я могу войти в этот магазин? — Нет, ты не можешь войти, потому что нет пандуса. — Мне можно перейти дорогу тут? — Нет, здесь нет светофора для незрячих людей.” 4. Report back to the group and share your findings about this city.

- Go to the website https://citywalks.live and explore one Russian city from the menu on the right– Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, or Novosibirsk. Spend 4-5 minutes watching the recording of the city walk in a specific city assigned to you (or your group). Your group will be given a role: пешеходы (pedestrians), люди в транспорте (people using public transportation), автомобилисты (car drivers), or велосипедисты (bike/scooter users), and you will have to explore this city from the perspective of the assigned role. You will be assigned to explore this city either during the daytime or at night (swipe the button “day/night” right for the night view). Make sure to turn on the sound by swiping the “city sounds” button right. 2. Fill out the graphic organizer while exploring the space and take notes about the city space. 3. Ask each other questions and respond to them: “–Здесь безопасно идти/ехать (на машине, на автобусе, на велосипеде или скутере)? –Да, безопасно. — Почему? –Потому что тут светло и есть полоса для велосипеда. “–Здесь безопасно переходить улицу? –Нет, небезопасно. — Почему? –Потому что тут много машин и нет светофора.” 4. Report back to the group and share your findings about this city.

What was the most interesting dish you have ever tried? Have you ever cooked any dishes from a different cuisine? Let’s imagine that we are cooking together. We would like to cook Uzbek Plov. Here is some information about this traditional dish found many countries.
This is a task you do at home. Read, listen, and repeat the words from your vocabulary list.
- Open our platform with interactive tasks. Read the highlighted phrases in the recipe on the left. Do you understand all the highlighted phrases? If you don’t remember some words, check them in the lesson dictionary.
- Move the pictures in the order of cooking the dish. Put a description from the recipe under each picture. Write down the recipe using only the highlighted phrases. Check that the task is completed correctly using this link.
