7 Nostalgia

I didn’t feel much joy as a young boy.
I always felt looked down on
by my friends, by my peers,
by my teachers, everyday
I felt like a pain to be around.
Everyone said it would get better,
as I got older, but now I look back
and wonder if I should’ve appreciated it more-…
Youthfulness, free from responsibility…
Do I really miss being young
or is it just nostalgia?
Life has taught me not to look back too long,
Happiness is better found in what’s ahead
