6 Kids with Guns

What be this world, growing ever more dark,
Lives being ended before they can start,
Technology grows and drives us apart,
This once chilling routine has left it’s mark,
Scarred and hollow as the hearses embark,
Bruised and battered everywhere but the heart,
You’d think the future of guns would be stark,
Some say its time to put more in the cart,
Stubborn, we accept a tragic cycle,
Because dead men ratified their weapon,
Eager for change, our marches span miles,
Would they turn the cheek at current events?
What we want should no longer be questioned,
It’s time to give up these tools of defence
