Seeking Alumni & Community Input

Dear Alumni & Community Members,

We are excited to announce that Indiana University Southeast is undergoing a Comprehensive Evaluation as part of the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) accreditation process. Currently our campus is preparing an Assurance argument to demonstrate the quality and continuous improvement of our educational programs. The Higher Learning Commission is an independent organization responsible for accrediting colleges and universities in our region. To maintain our status, we must continue to meet HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation, which cover a variety of university operations and responsibilities:

  • Criterion 1: Mission
  • Criterion 2: Integrity – Ethical and Responsible Conduct
  • Criterion 3: Teaching & Learning – Quality, Resources, and Support
  • Criterion 4: Teaching & Learning – Evaluation and Improvement
  • Criterion 5: Institutional Effectiveness, Resources and Planning

We would like your Input!
Community input plays an integral role in the accreditation process. As part of the reaffirmation process, we want to seek out input and feedback from the communities we serve. We believe that diverse perspectives and insights from our community members can contribute significantly to our growth and development. Therefore, we invite you to participate and share your thoughts regarding our institution.

How Can You Get Involved?
There are several ways for you to engage and provide your input:

Public Event: Join our discussion and share your opinions, ask questions, and provide feedback to our Accreditation Steering Committee on August 8th Alumni/Community Event 5:30 to 6:30 in UC 127.

By Email: If you prefer to articulate your thoughts in writing, you can send an email to our Accreditation Steering Committee co-chairs (see emails below).

Using Webpage comments: Read our Assurance argument on our website and provide feedback using the webform.

Your input matters greatly to us, and we genuinely value your perspective. Your feedback will contribute to shaping the future of our institution and help us better serve our community.

If you have any questions, please contact the Accreditation Steering Committee co-chairs: Donna Dahlgren, Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (ddahlgre@iu.edu), or Christopher Proctor, Assistant Librarian & Campus Accreditation Project Manager (clprocto@iu.edu)
