I. Interdependence: Global Solidarity and Local Actions Toolkit

From the Community-Based Global Learning Cooperative

This toolkit serves as the centerpiece of Ficarra and Foster’s chapter. It is an open access teaching and learning resource from the Community-based Global Learning Collaborative.  The toolkit offers lessons and activities in key themes related to global interdependence that fosters student reflection, growth, skill-building and analysis. The toolkit also includes a facilitators guide that demonstrates how educators can incorporate these concepts into their courses, workshops, and programming.

II. Personal Privilege Profile

This activity was adapted from the toolkit above. It asks students to identify their social positions as it relates to several identity categories and then asks students to reflect on the affordances, privileges, or challenges associated with those identities.
