Introduction

I had never taken a poetry class and had been hesitant to take a college level course of poetry due to not having a previous experience in the field. I have enjoyed writing and reading poetry for the past few weeks, and found there are many different ways to write a poem as well as interpret one. There are many different patters, rhymes, beats, and much more to find in this art of poetry.
