A pie only has one day to be sold
The expectations are high

Sprinkled with sugar
Looking its absolute best

Even on the biggest day
This pie was not perfect

One person accepts
The sweet scent brings them in

The pie not perfect
Yet there is interest

Finding others disgusting

Ones that are so perfect
“They get more than one sale”

The ones that do not get picked
These have the most history

When they first came out
These pies were full of life

More flavors come out
Other pies are pushed out

But there is more to it
Not all pies go out

Life behind the glass
These pies stay untouched

Trying to perfect for one sale
No one is fooled by the expiration date

A pie is only good for a certain time
The next flavor will take over tomorrow
