31 Unwind
She walks through her door.
The small studio, above
the noisy city.
Her bag is set by the coats.
Lights shining through the windows.
Taking her late-night
shower. She has it steaming.
The silk robe is on,
a cup of tea being made,
a scone awaits on the side.
Netflix on the screen,
her sore feet are propped up high.
Her phone in her hand,
scrolling through each social app.
Her eyes fixed on both bright screens.
Back to the bathroom,
Her toothbrush fills with toothpaste,
retainers are in.
Rinsing gently, washing her
smooth face. Serum is now placed.
Heading towards bed,
taking each pillow off it,
leaving only one.
Her eyes beginning to close,
how could the night end so fast?
