There are a team of helpers who are here on campus that have created their life’s mission to support and guide young people.  They come with many names and titles, but some of the best supporters you have available to you on day one are your:

These teams, in University Education, work together to holistically support you as you ask your larger questions of life–what matters to me, what am I interested in, what environments do I thrive in, what skills/strengths to I have, and how do I want to grow?  And how does this all connect with what I want to study here at IU and do in the world of work?

You can find University Education Offices in the lower level of Wells Library (002) for scheduled coaching appointments, or drop-in hours. These appointments are always free and you can meet as many times as you need to.  There are also virtual meet-up options if that is your preference.

Other helpful resources on-campus, especially related to academics are:

They will help you navigate time management skills, study habits, and provide tutoring services, to help you find your academic groove and thrive in college!  Don’t forget about your professors/instructors and reach out to them directly during their posted office hours to ask a clarifying question, make a point of contact, or advice.

Additionally, our IU Culture Centers can provide you a home away from home and CAPS offers mental health counseling, support groups, and educational resources to stay healthy.

We all want to see you thrive here on campus!

It’s true that it can take some time to make friends, navigate campus, and find your rhythm.  But, you can do it–you aren’t alone–there are so many people cheering for you along the way.

Welcome, again, to IU–we are so glad you are here!
