Dutifully she has carried this family

Every year since 1998

Bringing bounty to our house and lives

Married or not she kept her maiden name

Changing it was not in the cards for her. She was

Done with doing things for the convenience of

Others.

Nothing stood in her way of progress

Albeit cancer did try to have her

Lose some of that spark, but she’ll be

Damned if she does not recover.
